This wonderful community event was produced by Encinitas Friends of the Arts at Encinitas Community Center (1140
Oakcrest Park Drive, Encinitas, 92024) with a generous grant by the county of SD through supervisor Dave Roberts. Many Ofrendas were created including a huge one in the gym near the stage as well as in the trunks of multiple low riders parked in front of the center. This was fun for
the whole family including an art
exhibits, live art demos, mask making, sugar skull and paper flower workshops. face painting, food trucks. opportunity drawings
and giveaways including a computer tablet. Day of the Dead celebrations honor the memory of a loved one or friend with a
photo or a remembrance to an alter. We understand that approx 3000 folks attended this FREE event. More info: Naimeh Tanha Woodward
